YuLead
Yuma County’s Leadership Empowerment and Development Program prepares participants for succession planning. The program will expose participants to essential communication and leadership skills and provide a foundation for the development of employees for supervisory roles. The goal of YuLead is to produce a cohort of employees that have the ability, motivation, and commitment to assume positions of greater responsibilities and decision making within the organization.
LEAP- Public Works
Public Works Leadership Education Advancement Program (LEAP) prepares participants for succession planning, evolving them from an employee perspective, to one of empowerment and leadership. The program will expose participants to essential soft skills and provide a necessary foundation to apply for supervisory roles.

This class covers the foundation of County Employment – the Standards of Conduct. This class will discuss what those standards mean, how they are applied, and how disciplinary action is taken when standards are violated.

This class will review best practices in customer service – with techniques, including interacting with internal and external customers, the angry customer, and the impact quality customer service can have. Attendees will learn how to provide the kind of superior, memorable service that results in satisfied customers.

Knowing the appropriate action in an emergency until professional help arrives is critical to saving lives. This hands-on course helps develop lifesaving skills that can be employed during a medical emergency.
